Child Safety Standards

Northgiven is a membership-based dating platform for adults. Protecting minors is not optional. This page describes our commitments, our policies, and how to reach us on child safety matters.

Age Requirement

Northgiven is 18 and older, with no exceptions.

We require age confirmation at signup. Accounts that cannot confirm they belong to an adult are not permitted on the platform. If we discover or reasonably suspect an account belongs to someone under 18, we will remove the account immediately and preserve relevant information as required by law.

Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is prohibited on Northgiven and will result in immediate account removal and may result in reports to law enforcement and other authorities:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, text, AI-generated content, and digital drawings
• Grooming — building trust with a minor for the purpose of exploitation or sexual contact
• Luring — attempting to meet or arrange contact with a minor
• Sextortion — threatening to share intimate images of a minor unless demands are met
• Sexualized images of minors, including images that are clothed but intended to be sexual
• Sexual conversations with anyone who is or may be a minor
• Lying about age to gain access to the platform
• Attempting to recruit or manipulate minors into meeting, communicating, or sharing images
• Any other conduct that constitutes child sexual exploitation or abuse

Detection and Enforcement

When Northgiven discovers an account belongs to someone under 18, we will:

• Remove the account immediately
• Preserve account information, content, and records as required by law
• Report to law enforcement where required

Account removals for child safety violations are not subject to the standard appeals process. Some decisions are final.

CSAM Response

When Northgiven becomes aware of apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or child sexual exploitation on the platform, we will:

• Remove access to the material immediately
• Preserve evidence as required by U.S. law
• Disable the account associated with the material
• Report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by U.S. law
• Report to law enforcement and app stores as appropriate

NCMEC Reporting

Northgiven reports apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by the PROTECT Our Children Act and other applicable U.S. federal law. This reporting is mandatory, not discretionary.

Provider Obligations

Northgiven complies with applicable U.S. provider reporting and preservation obligations, including requirements under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (mandatory reporting of CSAM to NCMEC) and 18 U.S.C. § 2258B (preservation of records).

We cooperate with law enforcement investigations involving child safety and respond to lawful legal process.

No Photos of Minors

Northgiven does not allow photos of minors on the platform.

This includes:

• Family photos where a minor appears
• Childhood or throwback photos
• Photos where a minor appears incidentally in the background
• Any image where a person under 18 is identifiable

If you want to show that you have children, you may do so in your profile text. Images of minors are not permitted on the platform, regardless of context or intent.

How to Report

In-app reporting: Use the report button on any profile or conversation to flag suspected child safety violations. Reports are reviewed promptly. Severe or urgent reports are escalated immediately.

Email: child-safety@northgiven.com — this is the designated contact for:

• Child safety concerns from users, parents, or guardians
• Law enforcement inquiries and legal process
• App store compliance inquiries
• CSAM tip referrals from partner organizations

For urgent safety situations involving a child in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Then report to Northgiven when it is safe to do so.
