Prepare for honest reflection

Learn how Northgiven asks you to reflect, respect consent and discuss differences. No account is needed. Reading this lesson does not enroll you in research.

This page has no answer submission or research collection. Ordinary hosting and security records may record a page visit. Your account assessment is a separate activity; research participation there is off by default.

Ground rules, not preferred personality answers

We teach what a question asks and what consent means. We do not teach which assessment answer earns a better introduction. Completing a lesson does not certify that someone is safe or sincere.

1. A question asks what you usually do after a disagreement. What should your answer describe?

Read the explanation

Describe your own experience. Knowing the language of repair is different from practicing it. There is no rewarded personality answer.

2. You cannot give a meaningful answer to a required question. What can you do?

Read the explanation

Required questions need meaningful answers before discovery opens. A pause preserves that choice. Do not use a midpoint to hide a missing answer or invent experience.

3. Which statement describes a boundary about your own participation?

Read the explanation

A boundary states what you will do or accept. It does not turn a diagnosis, demand or punishment into consent. Pausing also does not require someone to resume unsafe contact.

4. Someone previously agreed to a conversation or activity and now wants to stop. What applies?

Read the explanation

Consent can change. An assessment result, an earlier agreement or therapy language does not create an obligation to continue.

5. What does finishing this preparation and assessment establish?

Read the explanation

Completion is a participation requirement. It is not a safety certificate, diagnosis, rank of human worth or evidence against another person. Concerns about conduct belong in the private reporting and review process.

Choose a meaningful context

These are guidance options, not different scored tests. Experience questions and future preferences ask different things. You never need to invent experience.

A current romantic relationship

Use your experience in your current relationship. Think about what you tend to do, including difficult moments. A protective response to unsafe conduct is not a character flaw.

My most recent romantic relationship

Use the most recent relationship you can recall clearly. Describe your own behavior at that time. Do not answer for your former partner or diagnose either person.

An earlier romantic relationship I can recall clearly

Use that same relationship throughout the experience questions. Your circumstances may have changed. The answers describe that reference period, not a permanent identity.

My experience varies across relationships

Consider your usual pattern across relationships. If no answer represents that experience, use the help option and pause rather than invent a typical pattern. Future-preference questions ask what you want now.

I have little or no romantic relationship experience

Do not invent past experience or describe an ideal version of yourself. Read each question literally. If it needs experience you do not have, pause and ask for help; an incomplete assessment is not misconduct.

I need help choosing a reference

Choose one relationship period you can recall clearly for experience questions. Current preferences are a separate question. If no reference fits, you can pause and ask for clarification without making up an answer.

Help us improve the lesson

What felt unclear, unrealistic, or missing? A specific example or suggested change helps. You can disagree with us. Your feedback does not affect your eligibility.

You can email lesson feedback to support. This is optional and includes your email address. Please leave out assessment answers, private relationship details, and identifying information about anyone else. It is product feedback, not enrollment in an assessment study.

We may group repeated suggestions and set aside spam, threats, or unrelated messages. Disagreement and unfamiliar wording are not reasons to dismiss an idea. We cannot infer someone's sincerity from polished language.

Research is a separate choice

A public assessment study is being planned and is not open here. Before joining any study, you should be told its purpose, data collected, privacy limits, retention period, and withdrawal process. Taking a lesson or signing up for the app is not research consent.

Removing names alone does not make information anonymous. Any future study must describe remaining links, including technical records, accurately.
